While going to work this morning, 0417 showed up as a new talkgroup. I only caught traffic of "patient being transported is in full arrest", so its got to be a FD/EMS talkgroup. I've got 0418 down as the patch from the Montgomery County VFD on 453.850, so its not that one. Not to mention the audio was much better than the audio that comes over 0418.

Does anyone know what agency is using that TG?

Thanks,

Warren

I can't say anything for sure, but I've heard it the last few evenings also. I am almost tempted to say it is a VFD talkgroup. I've heard very similar transmissions to what was being broadcast on 418 (SO dispatching volunteers to various calls, etc.)

I've not heard 418 since I first heard 417. Maybe its been changed to this TG for some reason?

I heard 0419 once a couple of months ago, but not long enough to make anything out. Was the traffic you heard some sort of Fireground TG?

According to my notes, 0417 was the original MCVFD patch talkgroup (April 2004), but then it changed to 0418. Strangly enough, I just heard the SO dispatcher on 453.850 and the 0418 TG was broadcasting the same transmission! Anyone know what is going on?

1777 is a new one to me.

0798 is a patch from 155.010. I hear Lowndes County on there quite a bit. I also just heard traffic relating to the Biscuit's game on 0799 (Mutual Aid-4). First time in a while on that one.

Speaking of the Biscuits, the MPD officers on MA-4 mentioned they had radios at their substation like the ones they used to have (UHF??) that were programmed with the Biscuits' frequencies.

The Tgs you are seeing , 417, 418, and 419, are 3 different conventional interfaces to the system. 417 is Fire South, 418 is Fire North, and 419 is Fire West.

1777 is MA 2 (Mutual Aid 2). Just 1 of 4 MA TGs on the system as most of you know by now.

The MPD use MA 4 to work the Biscuit games. They also use UHF HT1000 radios at the stadium which are on 466.3375 MHz. (Security)

I hope this helps. :D

Thanks CCScan! That definately cleared up the mystery.

I do have a question. If MA-1 is 0610, MA-2 is 1777, and MA-4 is 0799, what is MA-3? My guess would be either 0796 or 0803.

MA 3 is 295. 796 is Disaster 1 ( DISA 1) for the users on the system. As far as 803, I haven't seen it on the system. :?

Another new talkgroup, 1304. I heard it today and managed to save it to my PRO-96. It was definately law enforcement related, but I don't remember the gist of the transmisstion.

Its close to the other MPD talkgroups, so I thought this one would be digital, but I heard it in analog mode.

Is it possible you are decoding and hearing a TG from another EDACS system? Or was it TG 0304 which is a County Inv TG. The reason I ask is that 1304 isn't a valid TG for the TRS in Montgomery. :?

No, it was definately 1304 - I was quick enough and managed to save it from the display to my PRO-96 TG list. I'm also using the same list of LCNs and frequencies that are in RR.com.

I think i've figured it out though. I had T4Win going at the same time I was listening to this talkgroup. I checked the talkgroup list, and didn't see a 1304. I then checked the radio ID list and voila, I found 1304 at about the same time I heard it on the scanner.

Now for the real mystery: PRO-96s aren't supposed to pick up I-Calls, but apparently I caught part of one. Weird....

That would explain it somewhat. LID 1304 is probably a County LID, and since they are all analog, you are able to hear it.

Not so new TG s .. have beeen hearing test on 797 almost forever, is this 1 actually in use or ?? if so what is it?:) also been hearing 2047 not so often but hearing only tests.. ANother note actually loged 1554 on my scanner last 1st time ever since MFD went digiatl.. perhaps maybe because the fire at Burlington Coat factory was in "in my backyard" almost :?:

797 is Disaster 2 group. A group all users have. 2047 is an analog test group that the techs use. (Although you'll also hear the techs testing on 797 as well.) Hope your enlightened....
