Hello. I am new to Arizona and somewhat new to scanning. I have a Uniden BC235XLT which I have used in Pacific Northwest. I am trying to figure out what I nead to scan Pima County Police in the North part of County near Catalina city. If what I have read is true it looks like I am out of luck but would like any advice I can get. Got this from this forum data base System Name: Pima County Public Safety
Location: Pima County, AZ
County: Pima
System Type: LTR Multinet
System Voice: Analog
Last Updated: 03-29-2005 07:12 Changed a system text block

Thanks

System can now be monitored successfully using LTRTrunk software, available on this website, and a scanner with a discriminator port added. See the forums for further discussion on this technology. Currently no stock scanner monitors this system.

From the datebase here on RR.

Were in the same boat. I am still trying to figure out if my 246T will work for this? As soon as I know I wiil let you know. Simple way around this I found was to program the frequencys in a solo bank on my scanner and let it scan the trucked freqs, I can hear them transmitting and sometimes I hear almost both side of the conversation.

If the system is quiet, like nights or weekends, when all of the other county stuff isn't also going on, I've been very successful with programming 2-3 freqs for the repeater that I want to listen to, and I can hear most of the conversation. I put the freqs in simple FM mode and scan without the "delay" setting. I can say that this works well for the "eastside".

Another neat trick to figure out when SO is nearby, is to program the input frequncies. For the most part, you hear the deputies that are near your location.
