New to fastlane

I just got my first fastlane update and for some reason my pc is trying to open it with notepad. How can i change that? How do I open the program? I thought i was supposed to update it into my current dsd+ program but would appreciate some guidance before I just jump in. Thanks

A little vague on details. So here is a guess.

Did you rename the .zap to .zip then extract archive?
This is stated in the email 'DSDPlus 2.29 Fast Lane Release (Update Attached)'
What was the filename of the file?

Yeah, in my excitement, forgot to zip my zap. Lol
