R8600 New to IC-R8600

Liking this receiver a lot. Had it a few days. Kind of a learning curve. The FSK decode seems to take getting used to, anyone have any common settings or reliable frequencies? Thinking it might be best to probably test with W1AW. Also any helpful info or hints on any other features would be appreciated...manual is a little vague, thanks in advance.
