NEW to scanning in San diego

Hello you all,

I live here in san diego and was looking around for a scanner just wanted to know which is the one to get. I have a feeling that the 796d is going to be the one. But if there is any other info on scanners I would appreciate it.

Any scanner that is digital capable. I use a Uniden BC785 and a RS Pro96. I like the Pro96 best as there is no fine tuning of the audio as there is with the first generation BC785. If you get the Pro96 or a derivation of it, email me and I can give you some Win96 files for the SD area.

I"m quite pleased with the Uniden 796D. Bought it from Ham Radio Outlet, and downloaded the ARC250 software.

Good to Know

So I guess look for the digital and all other scanners are worthless. Spounds good to me. I had a feeling that San Diego was up to date with Digital. Thanks again.
