Does anyone have a nice, download file in .csv format for Vermont frequencies?
I live in Addison County but would also scan Chittenden & Franklin as well.

The ones provided here aren't very complete from what I can discern.

Even a good list that isn't downloadable would be helpful.

Thanks!

If they aren't listed it's because there aren't other scanner users in that area. Go to the FCC license section for those counties and get the full list, then pin down what the freq's are used for...

The various listings for the Vermont counties in the database are pretty good.

There is also a Yahoo group devoted to scanning Vermont; vermontscanner. It's a low volume list and the archives should be able to help you round things out.

You didn't mention specifically which service you're interested in. Are you interested in listening to something other than public safety?

The Addison County listing in this database provides basically all the latest public safety frequencies. I also live near this area, and I think the list is pretty complete (for Addison County). What else are you looking for?

Thank You

I am just beginning to scan again after many years. There is nothing in particular I'm looking for. I guess with a thousand channels, we're always looking to "fill them up" with something.
I am trying to determine the best way to program the banks in the Pro-97.
I'm thinking I may dedicate one bank for each area where I travel etc. in which case I won't have to lockout or push the up arrow for every weak one it stops on while I am out of range.
Since I live in Addison cty, I think I'd load those into one bank, Chittenden in another and finally Franklin in another. I'd turn them on/off depending upon where I am.
Also keep ham repeaters in one bank.
Does this make sense?
Any other suggestions?
Thank you.

That is basically how I have my scanner setup. You will want to also make one bank a dedicated "State of Vermont" bank with all the VSP and other state frequencies. You should leave this bank on all the time.

Good luck and have fun! If you have any other questions on specific frequencies, don't be affraid to post your questions here.

I would love to see more activity on this Vermont forum.

I agree. Lately, I've been setting mine up by geographic locale and then function within that.

So, for instance, bank 1 might be Addison Co. police entities;
Bank 2 might be Addison Co. fire & rescue;
Bank 3 might be Chittenden Co. police entities;
Bank 4 might be Chittenden Co. fire & rescue;
Bank 5 might be milair.

(You do have a bank for milair, don't you? No sense using that hot Pro-97 only on something as mundane as police & fire. hehehe! Just kidding, folks!)

Bank 6 might be air traffic control--Boston center, Burlington airport, etc.
Bank 7 might be NY state police.
Bank 8 might be the LTR trunked system near you.

Egads, there's toooo much to listen to!

And we won't even get into its ability to signal stalk as you drive. That's what mine does most of the time. Verrrrrry handy!

Thanks!

Jim:

That looks like a commonsense approach to organization.
Been too busy to get into it but now that the snow's here, it's a good time.
