Just got my PRO-2055 in the mail a few days ago. Been toying around with it, picked up a few interesting things to listen to. I've been looking around online for specific freqs. and I've noticed a lot of them are written like 909, 4930, 17973. How do I tune into these frequencies.?

Thanks.

Those are talkgroups for trunked systems.

Take a look in the databse for the area your located at andlook in the conventional frequencies.
They wil always be in the format xxx.xxxx.

Have fun and welcome.

As everyone else said they are trunked talkgroups. To listen to these you need to program the system frequencies (they usually start with 800. Ex. 856.4375) into your scanner like it says in the manual. Then, once you have those programmed, you can receive the talkgroups.

Hope this helps,

I live in Okinawa, Japan. So it's kind of hard for me to to find actual freq. listings online. I'll try out the talkgroups though. Thanks.
