New to scanning!

I have just aquired a Realistic Pro2039, a nice little unit, seems to work ok, But, how do I programme in the frequencies i want it to scan through. I have followed the written instructions I got with the scanner, but when i try to input a frequency (within it's range), I get an error sign on the screen.
Can anyone help?

Did you forget the decimal point?

I notice the manual here makes no mention of it, so maybe that's it ..?..

I saw in that manual, 935.000---940.000 is private trunk. General Trunked--940.0125 -- 940.9875.. I've never heard anything in the 940.xxx range..Old news?

It would help if you stated the frequency you are trying to enter.

Yes, it does. Under the Preparation link. About half way down the page. So, depending on what frequency you are programming, 39.XXX, 155.XXX, or 450.XXX, you need to put in the decimal point.
