Thanks Guys,

I still have to get my software for programming but the place I bought this unit set it up with some Delaware and Columbus Freq's.

I might have to get a outside antennae yet too. I get the unit to stop on Columbus freq's but don't hear anything and it doesn't show any signal on the strength meter.

I did buy the Mr. Scanner 2005 CD but haven't looked into it real hard yet.

Any freq's youhave would be great.

Thanks
Rick

Well, if you are looking for Columbus freqs and talkgroups, just check out

http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=659

10 FIRE= Columbus, Madison Twp, Franklin Twp, Clinton Twp Dispatch
8 DELTA= EMS Ops
8 EMS = Mostly Freeway Accident Ops (Mass. Casualty)
10 ALPHA= Minor Fire Ops (Trash/Dumpter Fires)

There is a list of major fire TGs on that system! :D

Welcome aboard!

I live next door in Union County.

Right now, listening to Delaware county is very easy. Check out
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&ctid=2060
for all of the frequencies. Delaware City has a Motorola trunking system, and you can find a link to it on the above page.

Delaware County is in the process of taking the Delaware City system and expanding it to a county-wide digital system. That's bad for me, but not a problem for you since you have a BC-796D. I don't know when this conversion is going to take place, but for now you can hear the Sheriff and Fire Departments on VHF highband repeaters.

Let us know if you need any more help.

October or November for DelCo's new system.
