hello. i live in Edmonds.
I got Radio shack PRO-95 scanner

I would like to listen to edmonds and lynnwood police. coast guards down in the water.

Could anyone give me the frequencies of those areas?

PS. right now i found this frequency 866.77500 i hear stuff in lynnwood, edmonds, mount lake terrace, etc. and i can hear police and fire in this frequency. am i listening to the right one?

All of snohomish county police use a trunk system and you must have your scanner set up to trunk scan they use about 20 different freq all you need is the control channel to scan the system but i am not sure if that is true with your pro-95. in trunking they use all 20 channels, what i am saying is that a trunking scanner scan the dec codes. the police fire and the whole county uses the same channels, the dec codes tell there radios what is the next open channel and and the whole group moves to that channel, so they are always moving through the 20 freq what freq they use depends on the dec code that is give to them, like Everett police uses 48,80,112,144,176,240,45904,45968. all users of the system have different dec code. and you can find them here.

so the stuff im hearing is dispatch? because i hear like sirens and like says engine 11 and ladder 8 theres fire at this street........

and than i hear police stuff too

so this means that freq im listeing to is dispatch around my area. right?

no you are missing the whole point no area in the system uses one freg its all about the dec codes
