Welcome to Radio Reference.

We don't know what you have tried already as far as setting it up... are you programming manually or by using Sentinel (or other software)? Are you scanning favorites lists or using the main database?

First things to do...

Update the database (page 6 in the owner's manual) and check to be sure the appropriate service types are turned on (page 12).

If using Sentinel and creating favorites lists, check the profile editor and be sure your favorites lists are set to "ON" for both download and monitor.

Be absolutely sure you have the latest version of the Sentinel Software from here:

Details in your questions are very important..... The more details in your posts, the more informative the answers will be.

There is an easier to read manual for the scanner and the Sentinel Software here:

I am using the Updated Sentinel software.. I just add state police and it comes through at times, just none of the local towns are coming through. Should I just return this and buy a different one?

Did you follow the other suggestions mentioned in my post above?

Join the PD, that's the only way
I was going to say that John LOL. Actually in Bucks County if you are a supervising member of fire police, fire department or EMS some of their radios have been Flashed for RX only of the police who are 100% encrypted now.

Hi, there.

I live in the area and I use an Uniden BCD325P2. Have you tried the analog systems in the area? Also here's a link to the list of systems in the area.

Most systems aren't encrypted but a couple of Police Stations are encrypted but they're using on a P25.

Also make sure your squelch is at Level 2 so you can pick up channels more easily. DONT USE LEVEL 1 OR 0 OR YOU WILL HAVE STATIC!

Did you put the county VHF fire and EMS channels in? North, Central and South, they are very active.
