new to trunking

I am trying to trunk, but i can't make heads or tails out of the programming instructions that came with my 780xlt uniden scanner. It seems to me they assume you already know how, and what youre doing.
I have the frequencies, I know the control channels, I know the system type. My scanner gets stuck on channels that makes weird noises and stays there. No information comes up when I do hear someone talking. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you, tamrhein

which system are you trying to monitor, is it a digital system or anolog. If it is digital you wont be able to monitor it with the type of scanner that you have. You might have to ask someone in here that knows more about Uniden scanners. Since i only have a R.S pro 96.

It sounds as if you have not entered all your freq.'s in Trunk
programming mode.

Find the pages in the manual that describe how to enter trunked freq's
and give it a shot.
