new tower in prairieville

this week a new comm tower went up in Prairieville. Its located at LA 73 near LA 42, close to Airline Hwy. It is next to the Iberville Bank bldg. Never seen anything like it, it has what looks like 3 microwave dishes on it, dont know if it is part of LATIE or not.

iberville bank is installing a motorola canipe system. it is a 5.8 ghz back bone ip link to all of their branch locations. there is a small monpole at the plaquemine branch and a large monpole at their office in addis. my guess is they are tired of giving bell south $1000's a month for t1 lines between their offices. with canipe you can get hi speed data over the links. being they own the system they will save a lot of money.
