Wichita and Eldorado are both showing a connection to Tower 114 this morning. I am assuming this will be the Mayfield (Sumner County) tower, although I can't confirm it from here in Newton right now. Here's the info from Pro96com:

-Neighbors
#Format: TowerID,TowerIDHex,System ID,Channel,Frequency,Tower Name
101,"T0101",1b2,"00-2487",866.55000,"Severy"
108,"T0108",1b2,"00-2637",867.48750,"Sedan"
109,"T0109",1b2,"00-2577",867.11250,"Virgil"
111,"T010B",1b2,"00-2597",867.23750,"Dexter???"
113,"T010D",1b2,"00-2577",867.11250,"Wichita"
114,"T010E",1b2,"00-2609",867.31250,"Mayfield???"
205,"T0205",1b2,"00-2597",867.23750,"Reading"
214,"T020E",1b2,"00-2637",867.48750,"Cottonwood Falls"
216,"T0210",1b2,"00-2517",866.73750,"Bennington"

That only leaves Hutchinson/Reno County on the original list of sites. Is anyone closer to these two new sites (T111 and T114) to hear them direct and gather some info on them?

The Hutchinson-Reno County simulcast TRS has a rather lengthy timetable for implementation. The original concept called for a five-year installation schedule, with a new transmitter location, and mobile units added accordingly. The submitted plan can seen on the FCC Web site.

From what I have heard, Hutchinson and Reno County, have applied for federal funding to help implement this new radio system. If such funding is received, this could move up the schedule by a year or more, depending on how much money is received. Likewise, it could be used to help purchase new mobile and portable radios, in a more timelier fashion.

I was in the Wichita area last Weds., and heard them dispatched Troop's and Troop's responding. I don't know if they are 100% yet, but atleast heard them working on the new system on Weds. Hope this helps.

Dispatch is starting to simulcast on both the conventional and digital systems. A few Troops are starting to use the system in Saline and Ottawa counties. Also you have to use the system on C-KHP-3 in Chase county. They have taken the conventional system completely down in that are. Hope this helps.
