i have a department with an A tone of 2575.0 and a B tone of 1180.0 but nothing comes though. it said it found the A tone but checking for B tone then it says checking for long tone? i have it added with A/B tone i know they have a long tone of 330.5 but how do i add that? ive attached a picture as well

also it says it failed sending as a mp3 and sends a wav. how do i correct this problem too?

To send as an mp3 make sure you have ffmpeg.exe in the program directory (you'll need to download it, see the program page for the link). As for the B tone, make sure your audio levels are adjusted properly..it's seeing an 800 Hz tone there for some reason.

adding the long tone worked.

But the files are still being sent as a wav? Ive had the ffmpeg downloaded and its in the folder with all the other files is that where it needs to be? Also when the text message comes out i see everyones numbers or emails is there a way to turn that off so i just see the email that the program is used for; for sending the text alerts

You need to extract ffmpeg.exe for the zip that you downloaded. The exe needs to be in that dir.

As for the emails, there is an option to send with the addresses as bcc. This is in the config menu on the main screen.

Based on the pic, the ffmpeg is a 7z file - which is a compressed file like a zip file. You need to unpack the ffmpeg out of the archive file.

And to hide all the email addresses, click on the "Edit Config" menu and click the "BCC email recipients" box.

Anyone having a problem using windows 7 with two tone? It seems the tone frequency is always showing Hz when two tone is running. Also the audio input level is always moving. I tried to move the squelch up and it does help. Anyone know?

Its weird because I think it might be picking up outside noise from something. Because when you make noise or do something the noise meter goes up. I didn't have this problem with the last computer but this one i do. I went from windows XP to Windows 7.

I've had that problem on a few of the receivers I use. As long as it doesn't affect the recorded audio I wouldn't worry about it and just set the squelch level beyond where the audio is fluctuating. If it is audible on the recorded audio then I would try an isolation transformer. I am using a few of the $7 ones off eBay and they work well. Let me know if you need the link.

Sounds like you might have a microphone as the input, or at least in the input mix. If you're using the Default Sound Mapper as your input, try switching it to the actual input you're using instead, or muting your mic.

I been using the 59a version for a full 4 weeks now with no problems at all. No computer lock ups, resets, or missed pages. I have 5 departments that page out on the same frequency and have been recieving all pages for all departments in less than 1 minute. It is working flawlessly with the new data set in v59a.....great job!!!!!!

not sure..

Ihad two calls today that i missed the calls im not sure why maybe because I used the 2 tone editor to to classify names with the numbers that i seen on a post afew pages back maybe that is what is screwing up sending the alerts out maybe that has to be done in the note pad and not the editor program?

So im not sure what all of this means but i took screen shots for you guys maybe someone can decode it for me?

Thanks

Hmmm. Looking at your output there it would appear that it loaded the UTICA group correctly at 20:00:23 (you can see the emails there), recorded, converted, and sent. Is there any way to look at the email server to see if it went out?

Check the logs file and see if any of the emails look wrong. The program should list each address it is going to send to in that file. If one of them looks off then things would break otherwise not sure.

So I am running into a odd problem... intermittently the recorded audio is sounding all garbled. It's occurring on the exact same frequency, with the exact same scanner (RS Pro 404) hooked up to the exact same sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy SE) through the Line In. I even put in a ground loop isolator... Anyone with any ideas?

Some examples:
Garbled Audio: Troy FD Station 4 page received at 16:44:49 | Rensselaer County Fire Wire

Good Audio: Troy FD Station 4 page received at 15:56:00 | Rensselaer County Fire Wire

Here's a couple from the same call:
Good: http://www.rcfirewire.com/dispatches/2013/03/10/troy-fd-station-3-page-received-at-190054/
Bad: http://www.rcfirewire.com/dispatches/2013/03/10/troy-fd-station-2-page-received-at-190102/

Same thing is happening on the same scanner, different frequency:

Garbled Audio: WF Bruen EMS page received at 15:25:54 | Rensselaer County Fire Wire

Good Audio: WF Bruen EMS page received at 18:10:41 | Rensselaer County Fire Wire
