New Uniden BC401T due later this year

Hello,

I got an interesting email today.

The NASCAR branding has been so successful for Uniden in promoting scanning for racing fans that they decided to produce scanners for teenage girls. Uniden is partnering with Sanrio Company, Ltd to produce a line of scanners based on the BC246T. The scanners will be available in several designer colors. Scheduled release is late Q3 of 2005.

Not many details were mentioned but looking at the picture it appears there is no close call feature.

Your rr.com GMT offset is not set correctly. At the top click on "Your Account", then click on "Your Info", next scroll down till you find the GMT offset option.

Since I am in the CST non-daylight savings zone my GMT offset is -6. Until tomorrow @ 2 AM .. when it flips to -5.
