Late June, testing the 150 & G5 side by side.

SDS150 & G5
Have you done further testing with the G5. During the couple weeks I had the SDS 100, the 100 did fairly well vs the Unication in some areas but not other areas. (As in physical locations). To be 100% honest it missed enough that between the VHF testing i did and the simulcast I checked on two different systems and multiple locations, I just decided to not get one.

That being said if the 150 is as much better on simulcast as it was on the short WB test you did, that should be pretty good.

I want to be clear here. In many locations and varying signal levels the SDS 100 did very well against the Unication with virtually no difference i was quite surprised. There were times however it just didn't quite keep up with it, not many but enough I wasn't convinced to trade the G5 for an SDS 100 when the opportunity presented itself.

Edit: i wanted to add, had I never had the chance to run them side by side for a while, I would have thought the SDS 100 did just fine.

This new model looks hopeful. Guess time will tell.

...I hope there'll be trade-up offers when the 150 comes out...

...if some trade-in system is put in place for the first year (only, for obvious reasons) for SDS100 owners to upgrade to the SDS150, I'd think many might happily trade up for a discount offer. But then again, that's just me and my "wishful thinking" cap on......
There are already dealers who will accept scanner trade-ins and put the money towards your new equipment purchase. Main Trading Company and Zip Scanners are two vendors that currently accept trades. While these programs may seem easy and convenient to get some extra money for your new equipment purchase, you probably would do much better money-wise by selling your scanner here in the RR classifieds (probably the best choice) or on eBay, Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace.

As an example, Zip Scanners is currently offering only $300 for an SDS100 trade-in. If you follow that link, you will see that they also deduct $$$ if your scanner does not meet all of their listed criteria. You also have to pay the shipping charges to get the scanner to them for their evaluation and they will NOT pay any extra money for DMR, NXDN, ProVoice or Waterfall keys that are already installed.

I wish with this new scanner that they would have the MDC 1200 work on analog conventional channel like it does for digital and it would be really cool if they came out with a new scanner that looks like the APX 7000 that would be pretty cool

Bluetooth does not natively “output” protocol data in human-readable formats like XML during normal operation.

You’ll need to sniff the packets and rendering them as XML or other structures.

I’m sure this makes sense to a lot of users as well as @ProScan
Is the STS, GLG, XML data encapsulated in the Bluetooth packets?
Or perhaps another way to ask: I'm pretty sure the beta testers don't have the BT U/Aware app yet but if you do, does the BT U/Aware App show the scanner display like the actual scanner?

Nevermind, I'm figuring it out.

For $300 + shipping on your dime, one would do better selling it on RR or just keeping it, IMHO.

Trading in anything is usually a worse deal than selling it and taking the money. Advertising on line is pretty simple either via forums, Ebay, Facebook, or Craigs list.

Car dealer usually make a larger profit on cars they take in trade than the do on the sale of a new car. The same for firearms dealers, they have a lot more room to work with than with new guns.

The sooner you can get them the sooner you can make a list of all the design problems so they can be fixed by the time I get one.

that's why I have a APX 7000 and APX 75000 just for the MDC 1200 HP 536 436 SDS 100 SDS 200 will do the MDC 1200 but it only works on digital not analog that's a downfall for me it works on trunk systems with no problem
This is confusing. I have SDS-100. It does not do MDC-1200. Also that is used for analog not analog.
