If I remember correctly, the 1st batch of SDS100's went quicker than this.

Yeah, when the SDS100 came out we were anxious to solve the LSM problem. Most purchases of the SDS150 are probably upgrades, so the price and uncertainty of performance are giving many a wait and see approach. I am "wait and see" myself. The SDS100 does great with LSM, it's analog performance is lacking.

I have 3 SDS100's and 3 SDS200's and ordered the SDS150 not because I have to have it I just want it.
My budget isn't as big as yours. If I had deeper pockets at the moment, I probably would have ordered one too. Unfortunately other obligations at the moment are requiring huge resources. When that settles down I will likely order one.
I Think it's going to be like that for a lot of us haha.

Again, exactly where I'm at. I'd need to part with likely at least one of my pagers to be able to justify that purchase here, especially to myself.
In my case testing here and I will not speak for anyone else, it was somewhat behind the Unication I tested it against on our simulcast system when I was fortunate to borrow one for a couple weeks. As far as analog VHF, well that has already been mentioned by others. The one thing I hate I didn't get to test was on a VHF Trunking system over in MO where we travel to on occasion on the MOSWIN system. I think that might have been interesting.
All in all should the SDS 150 pan out to others, it's possible I could make a change and shift some equipment around. I"m honestly hoping my same ham buddy will get the 150 (he likely will he has deep pockets and always has to have the newest) and perhaps we can swap some things around for a couple of weeks. The county he actually lives in is not simulcast but he works in the county I'm in and he loved having my G4 to listen to the stuff here when he was at work. He takes his SDS 100 and keeps it in his car then out at work and he was astounded the G4 got thru his entire shift without needing to charge it. Our system here is at times very busy and never shuts up.

I am sure that the vendors know what number of SDS150's they are receiving, when that number is reached it will be waiting until shipment 2 arrives, as the shipping date Uniden set a release date on the grounds that all vendors will have their 1st shipment before the release date.
Will this be carplay enabled/compatible?

I feel like The U/Aware app would be a huge miss for uniden if it's only accessable through bluetooth from the sds 150. I feel the app should be able to connect to the sds 150/100/200 if it's pluged into your network and and your phone is connected to your network through wifi. I feel you should even be able to connect to it away from home. Just like everyting else today. Cameras, door locks, lights. and more.

I am sure that UPMan was working on getting that done when life turned on him again. We do not know if he ever passed that on to Uniden before his health went south again or not.
If nothing else, it would be nice if a version of U/Aware could be made for the SDS 100/200. That would require connection via a cable, but both scanners have unused USB ports.
Maybe someday, but probably not.
