Uniden has never been able to figure this one out. It’s by far the biggest weakness with all of their scanners going back to the BCD396T.
Gre mastered the AGC. A twenty year old PRO96 sounds many times better than a current SDS scanner.

On the other hand, GRE/RS/Whistler variations of the PSR600 never got the volume control right. There was an incredibly narrow range between too soft to hear and blows your eardrums out. Otherwise, they were great scanners before LSM systems came out. I owned or used different manufacturer versions and none of them ever were easy to get right.

I ordered the SDS150 from Uniden and the shipping method is FedEx Ground Economy. If you have a Fedex Delivery Manager account, then a shipped package from Uniden should show up in Delivery Manager as a package being sent to you. Hopefully Uniden will also send an email when they ship.

I tried calling Scanner Master's office to inquire about shipping. The recording I got said that they were open Monday through Thursday. From that I figured they won't ship until next week sometime. I just looked at their website and under "Shipping " it says that they ship Monday through Friday. So, who knows? Maybe today is still a possibility. If so, then I could receive the radio by the middle of next week if USPS Priority Mail doesn't loose it!

Called Bearcat Warehouse, they're not getting their SDS150s till next week and will start shipping then.

So looks like those who ordered from Uniden will be the first kids on the block to receive their units.

I went back to the Scanner Master website and looked under the Shipping section and it says that the shipping department is open Monday through Friday. So, maybe, there is a slight chance that they could ship today.
But, I wouldn't be surprised if if they are just like Bearcat Warehouse and cannot ship before sometime next week.
