uniden has recently come out with 2 basic scanners.

bc75xlt - 300 ch. no alpha/trunking/pl.
bc125at - 500 ch. alpha/pl&dpl/milair. a real cost effective winner.

neither does trunking or 800 mhz. or digital.

Because they sell well and the old models were outdated by the move to narrowband.

An extraordinary amount of "911 stuff" is still good old conventional analog, not digital. 98% of New York City is non-digital, for example.

I know that you quite often refer to yourself as a "Professional Scanner User" Tim, but just an FYI here, the technology is called "trunking", not "trucking".

Yup, the Uniden BC75XLT and BC125AT look like nice scanners. One thing that I noticed is that they seem more bigger then the BC346XT and the BCD396XT.
