What's the best way to just get the local trunking freq's. in my area? I had then programmed and was able to listen, but I deleted the system as I just received the new Butel software. I am lost now trying to use the software to program anything! If I could at least just hear what comes in over the 8 local trunking frequencies, that would help for now 'til I can figure out the software.

Thanks.

The best way is to go to the database section here. Select California, then Sacramento county.

If you are interested in police, sheriff & fire; you'll find there are two systems in Sacramento county that carry that. One is the Sacramento City system, and the other is the Sacramento County system. The talkgroup IDs are the same, but the frequencies used are different. I monitor them both here in Fair Oaks because there are talkgroups which are only active on one system at a time.

8 Frequencies? LOL. I wonder which system you are monitoring. The city & county systems have about 24 frequencies each. Of course if you're only programming the control channel frequencies, that would add up - 4 each for a total of 8.

Which scanner are you using? Someone here might be able to just send you a file that you can program into your scanner. I could do that if you're using one of the scanners I have below (I use Don Starr's software).

Good luck
