Go to the top menu then click on Scanner Type. Choose SDS100 and click the OK button.

On the communications problem, do you have a USB cable connected to the scanner lower USB port?
If you want to use ProScan to read & write the favorites to the scanner then put the scanner in Mass Storage mode.
If you want to use ProScan for the virtual display, remote control, logging, or recorder then take the scanner out of Mass Storage mode which puts it in Serial mode.

Basic steps to import the 325 to the SDS100:
1. In the ProScan instance with the scanner type set to SDS100, go to the Favorites Editor then open or create a new file. Go to the File menu and click on New Or Open. If you have programming already in the scanner then I would click on New and make a new folder. After that, do a read from the scanner. The scanner needs to be in Mass Storage mode.
2. Go to the File menu and click on Import ProScan DMA... then in the File Explorer, navigate to the 325 database file. See if you can take it from there.

Ya I give up... nothing is working
1- to save info off 325 to proscan
2- transfer freqs into new sds100
Open the Database in ProScan after ensuring the model # is BCD325P2. The tab for that (in the case of the 325P2, is about the middle of the logging screen.

Open the drop-down Database menu, in the upper left corner of the screen.
If you programmed your 325P2 via ProScan, open that file. It should be listed near the bottom of the drop-down menu.

If not programmed via ProScan, select the option for New. You will be asked what name to use, and verify where you want it saved.

If you did not already have a file for the 325P2 saved in ProScan, then download the programming from the 325 into ProScan by selecting Download from Scanner..

Once the download is complete, select Save from the drop-down Database menu (upper left corner of the screen). That saves your download from the 325 to the file name & location you selected.

Click on the History logging tab to go back to the normal screen.

Now, using the Scanner Type drop-down menu, change the scanner type to the SDS100.

Once you've changed the model, check the box, upper left corner, for Favorites Editor. (My screenshot is with my SDS200, but you would instead see SDS100 if you changed to that model.)

If you already had an SDS100 list created, select Open from the drop-down.

If you did not have a file, yet, then choose New, & again give it a name. You must have an open file to proceed, either with an existing file for the model you are creating a list, or a new (empty for now) file.

With a file open, then select Import ProScan DMA file.
1691377266104.png
You will get a pop-up to tell ProScan where to find the file you created, either opening an existing 325P2 file, or opening the file you created when reading your 325P2 into ProScan.

You can choose whether to import all the systems, or only part..

Once you select Import, your Favorites file will be created; save where you want,

Now, with your new Favorites file open, you can add to it, or change whatever you want. Be sure to save your changes. You can then send it to your SDS100

What program did you use to create the file currently used in your 325P2?
