New user with questions about classifieds

Hi All,
Newbie here looking for a used scanner. When I go to the classifieds section and click on contact seller. A box comes up and says I can't start a conversation with this seller. I'm sure this is because I haven't posted enough and I understand that. I seen a couple scanners on the classifieds I would like to email the seller about. Is there a way for me to contact the seller being a newbie ? Thanks

Unfortunately not. We loosened the restrictions to allow new members to PM sellers in the Classifieds once and it didn’t take long for the spammers to figure it out.
