Had to take the GMC off the road, so I ended up buying a new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I love it because i have more room inside. my old install can be found here http://forums.radioreference.com/pictures-your-shack-mobile-setup/270265-current-set-up.html
I have a Kenwook TK-730H/830H with the KCH-4 control head and external speaker, Unitrol Touchmaster Delta lighting and siren control, and a Uniden BCT-15X scanner. Using 10 gage wire from the battery to the power distribution stip mounted under the bracket, and another feeding the radios mounted under the back seat. 3 NMO antennas mounted on the roof (the VHF and UHF are Browning quarter wave whips, a Browning 800-900 MHz antenna feeds the scanner). Not knowing anything about the newer vehicles, when i took the Headliner down, lo and behold theres 2 side curtian air bags in the back seat door area, so i had to re route the antenna wires around them. Radios are not there to stay long, im waiting on getting a new 5710 and 5810's.
