I took some time today and searched the FCC database for new frequencies in Vermont. While I was digging, I found several pending licenses for the State of Vermont. These were located within different parts of the state (mostly central and northern Vermont), with various VHF & UHF frequencies (not the VCOMM inter-op channels). Each channel is licensed for 4,000 mobile radios. I'm not sure what these channels are going to be used for, but if you live in one of the areas near these locations they may be worth listening to, once they get approved and assigned a callsign.

Here is the list I have compiled so far:

My guess would be that the VHF channels are to comply with the [super]narrowbanding mandate. The UHF stuff might be for interoperability.

Just a guess, mind you. :)

It has been a few years since I have talked to anyone in VT. I think it might be safe to speculate that they are cross-banded interop channels, possibly for PD to FD or also Fish and Wildlife PD are on VHF last I knew.
