I am hoping someone can help me spec out a new VHF repeater system. This is business band and is licensed and currently on air with Motorola equipment. We use (2) 100w mobiles and (4) 6w HTs. The hard part is we use DES encryption for some of our comms. I don't care what type of encryption the new system uses as long as it can pass through the repeater. The current repeater is 100w and our ERP is 315w. I know there is more info that is needed so fire away. I am getting tired of the BAT.

There are lots of qualified people who can do this for you.

They are found under "Radio Communications Consultants"

I was not aware that business radio could have VHF repeaters. Are you talking about a public safety sort of thing?

An example of why getting your specs this way is not best!

No reason why they can't, if they are licenced for one. There are lots around here. I wonder if the HTs are getting in the repeater fine, maybe you don't need 110W mobiles. 50 watters are alot easier to find (and much cheaper).
