During a service search I have come across 4 frequencies that have tgid from the viper system. Also show 1f0. Talkgroups heard are from Orange County. I live at nc540 and nc55. Near kit creek rd in Cary. The signal strength was quite strong. Frequencies are 856.4375, 858.4375, 858.4375 and 859.4375. Cannot find a control site during my search. I don't see any of these frequencies in the database either? Would love to be able to put a site in for these. Thanks in advance.

I have searched my Viper Files and spreadsheets.

Nothing comes close to Viper using any of those frequencies you listed in that area.

There however those frequencies are licensed to the:

University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

Check your system ID and control channel

I highly doubt that's a viper tower due to it not being rebranded.

Well actually the VIPER site in chapel hill is not a tower but atop the morgue at UNC-CH. Or so I've heard.
Plays nice with the site at Chatham/Terrels mtn. on the UNC tv 4 tower.

I wonder if they are worried about dead zones.
