Actually, simplex mode on the input (814.1875) is unlikely. I haven't seen an 800 MHz subscriber radio yet that can receive both 806-815 and 851-860; the RX filtering is just too tight, and the firmware in the radio wouldn't allow it to be programmed.

There might be one out there, but those typically used by public safety aren't among them.
