They are on an Edacs trunked system.
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Trunking System, New York, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies
Its been years on there and I guess they stick by the motto "don't fix it if it ain't broke". But I am surprised they are able to get support still for that old equipment. Pretty much obsolete by now. Anyway, good signal out here to Ct. and the only problem I have is when the control channel calls out a freq that is also shared with a control channel from another system out my way. Then the scanner locks up on the local control channel. There are 4 freqs from the Edacs system that are shared by something either in Ct. or LI so it does cause havoc and make it not enjoyable to monitor the system at times.

Coming from my cousin a retired Sgt on esu who worked New Years eve quite a bit All esu is on a TAC channell which is only able to be monitored about 2 miles away , but they monitor Citywide 1,2,3 which everyone else is on . Sorry its after the fact but keep it in mind for next year.

I have your precinct in my radio here 60 miles away all the time. Its been fun to listen to between your precinct and CW3 with the Trump family around for the past several months. Very professional men in blue to listen to.
I have a separate radio just for those two channels so not to tie up my local stuff!
