If you're not doing anything New Year's eve, and want to hear something different, try tuning around 6925 plus or minus, say 50 khz or so. You never know what nutcases will show up. They always do around this time of the year....

If one were to know such things :D

Very active now with an "under cover radio" broadcast. Pretty funny stuf. There are actually several stations on the frequency right now.

Wish one of them came in around here. There is a very weak station on 6.945 right now

I'm using a Kenwood TS-440 with an Alpha Delta multiband long wire dipole antenna about 25ft off the ground.

I use an Icom IC-R75 with a PAR Endz Fed SWL antenna.
Unfortunately I don't hear many pirates out this way. They seem to be much stronger on the east coast. The strongest one I hear is KIPM when they are broadcasting.

I'm not getting much reception from the east coast tonight...probably explains why I am not hearing many pirates.
Pacific is wide open though. Hawaii and New Zealand loud and clear right now on 80m.

I listening to another station on 6950am right now called cracker radio. Some guy talking like a pirate and singing silly songs about the FCC. Pretty funny stuff.

I use a Grundig Satellit 800 with an indoor roll-up wire antenna.
