Recently I noticed their officers (which dressed exactly like NYPD, minus the gun and different radio) started carrying both HT1000 radio AND a brand new XTS2500 with an 800MHz antenna. Also the DHS Police van has a new XTL5000 installed, unknown what band it is in (antenna is the low profile "can" type).
I shall report if there is any new up and coming changes with them. This *might* be the first agency to be affected under the new Channel 16 system.
