Ive been doing a lot of research lately into getting a digital scanner, i purchased a Linton MiniCB radio a few years ago (400-470Mhz range) and have enjoyed quite a bit listening to my local (Calgary, Alberta) Dispatch crosstalk channel.
After reading a lot of the posts here it seems that all the excitement is on the local police channel's, and it seems that CPS (Calgary Police Service) and EMS use a digital system. Im primarily leaning towards the GRE PSR-500, and id just like to make sure its the right thing to go with. $500 is alot of money to spend on something that could turn out to not end up working for what im trying to do.
I appreciate any advice and guidance that you guys can provide.
