Just recently got back into radio's. Stating with CB's again, and then will get on into HAM's. Right now studying for 2meter operators test.

My suggestion, J, is to find a club in your area that holds amateur radio classes. You will get invaluable advice on how to become a HAM (singular) radio operator:)

Gordon West's books are by far the best, especially when you add the CD to it:)

CB? Wouldn't waste the time. Get to studying for your Ham license. Whatever you do, don't get on the Ham radio and start talking about lot lizards and smokey bears :)

As N8IAA already said,the Gordon West ham radio study books are quite good.
