After a recent event that had a dozen police cars in my neighborhood, I got an SDS100 because my local PD is DPL. Using the Sentinel software defaults for Salisbury township PD (I live in Salisbury) I cannot seem to receive anything. They are DPL which shows as DCS in Sentinel but everything seems right. The scanner appears to be scanning the channel. I get transmissions on plenty of other (analog) channels just fine. No hits in 2 days on the SALS frequency which seems impossible if the frequency is in use. Anyone have this configured to work and can share the settings? Thanks!

If that is the system, remember that anything with an E or an e in the mode column is encrypted and cannot be monitored.

Of course make sure your service types are enabled.

Good luck!

Welcome to the RR forums:
Salisbury, Lehigh County PA is analog conventional (link Doc provided above is for Lancaster County, not applicable to you). The two frequencies listed for Salisbury are tac channels. Typically these are used for car-to-car chatter only. The VHF license is long expired, unknown if still in use

I'm pretty sure their dispatch & primary operations are on county PD South band being they're south of I-78 which I think is the dividing line for North/South. Plug in this frequency & make sure Law Dispatch Service type is turned on.

Frequency is shared amongst many municipalities so you'll want to listen for "200" series units: Source here
