I just bought a Uniden Bear Cat 95XLT. The user manual doesn't even mention NAscar...and is confusing. I'm new to scanners, but I see this one advertised as being very good for watching NAscar races.

For those of you out there who use this unit, please help me to understand how it works. The The RF CApture technology sounds nice, but does it really work, and if so, how?

Once the driver codes are installed, does the scanner scan for active driver conversations, or do I keep it on one driver at a time?

What setting should I use for the CApture feature? Or Close call feature?

Is it best to enter the driver codes manually for The Dover Race?

Is Dover a good track to watch a live race?

What are some of your scanner listening strategies? Who are the best drivers to listen to?

I am a true Newbie....

I appreciate your help in advance. We're leaving tomorrow night from Washington, PA. So I'm starting to panic!

Sincerely,
Greg
