i picked up a uniden bc145xl at a yard sale and figured out how to program it but can i use this to pick up police signals

I'm not familiar with that scanner...
It depends on where you are at.

I don't think it does trunking, and it defiintely does not do digital.

police signals.... well as long as the signals are on the frequencies covered by the scanner

When posting something li8ke this make sure you let us know the State, County and City your asking about..... and also make sure you check the database first, your questions ma be answered there.
