This RR Wiki article on the Pro-135 will give you most of the technical information you should need. You haven't said what you plan to use the scanner for so I must point out that this is a conventional use scanner only; it does not do trunking which most public service agencies now employ and it is not digital capable.

It would be helpful to know your location to answer your question as well. I urge you to return to your User CP (left side of the second blue bar from the top of any page if you are logged in) and edit your profile to include your location (city & state) so it will automatically show in each of your posts. As I have indicated, if we know your location it makes answering most questions or giving advice much easier for us.

Thanks for the reply....I'm in Clifton, NJ and I plan on using it to listen to fire, police and aircraft.

Thank you for filling in your location. It does matter when trying to give out advice and since I am not familiar with the systems in New Jersey I suggest that you post in the New Jersey Discussion Forum and ask your questions there. The locals are familiar with the area and can give you pointers, but I have a feeling that you are going to be disappointed because the scanner you have will not be able to pick up a lot of public service agencies since they are mostly trunked and digital.
