Hi, I did my "pre-research" and determined the Uniden BCD325P2 best suited my needs for my area as per multiple websites. I knew programming was involved but boy i got in a little over my abilities, lol. ( I have an older "Nascar version" Uniden scanner that I figured out 20 years ago) I just want to hear local fire/police in Hamilton Twp.
I was wondering if anyone lived in mercer County area that i could consult or even pay to program the scanner for me. (I have multiple sclerosis and have some cognitive issues) I subscribed to radio reference and downloaded freescan and read the instructions until I couldn't see anymore, lol but can't seem to get any farther. I appreciate any help/advice that anyone can offer. Thank you, Mark F. Hamilton Twp, NJ

Welcome to the RR forums. Attached I put together a Freescan file to include Hamilton Police minus PD 3 which is fully encrypted according to the database and fire south response talkgroups off the county system to hopefully get you started. Simply extract the zip file then import file contained within into Freescan, write to the scanner. I don't have a 325p2 to test nor am I local to you so hoping the file works for you

Very much appreciated! Firstly, I haven't touched a laptop/computer in several years, lol. Turns out my first problem was using my daughters Chromebook! It was not compatible with the freescan software, I followed a YouTube video and got it downloaded with my wife's work laptop allowing all the mercer County freq's to download. But I need to research and learn more to utilize the full capabilities of the scanner. Thanks again for reply! Mark
