Newbie in SW Ontario

Hello, Looking to get back into scanners, not sure what to get.
Looking to get OPP, Fire service, local,
l'm in Wardsville.
Not sure if l would be able to get LPD, London Fire ect.
Any suggestions as to what to purchase, what works in my area.

A digital trunktracking scanner would be your best bet.

Would you keep it in a fixed location or do you want mobile, handheld?

PSR-800,HomePatrol,Pro-197,PSR600,BCD996XT,BCD396Xt are all models that you could consider.

London Police is a no go. Unscannable by any scanner but the city's fire service and the EMS and OPP are fun to listen to.

As Mike points out, a digital scanner gives you the most options and all the ones he mentioned do a great job.
