Newbie, need help with trunked systems

Hello everyone, I live in Redding, CA and I simply want to pick up a trunked frequency here in town. I've owned a pro-94 before and had NO luck whatsoever and want to know what I need to do to pick this up. I know this may sound like a dumb question but I just need a little help in regards to this. Any information would be appreciated.

Pro-94 is easy, Press and Hold TRUNK for 2 seconds, 1 thru 10 flash, PRESS 1 or 2 or whatever bank you want, Hit enter, E-II flashes (Default) Hit ENTER, program the frequencies for the system, hit ENTER each time. Press scan, BE SURE YOUR TURN OFF ALL OTHER BANKS, and the radio SHOULD go into search and when a TRUNK ID is used it SHOULD hold on the display.

While the radio is in TRUNK SEARCH and the display shows -- --- press MANUAL Bank-1 Channel-1 appear, press the TGID 00048 then E and you have a Talk group, Press man again, repeat the previous.
