I've been listening to scanners since the days of crystal sets (Bearcat - 8 - channels!) and I now own 5 radios.

I'm thinking of buying a BCT15 in the next few days. I downloaded the owners manual from Uniden and I find it quite confusing to say the least. Is there somewhere I can obtain simple instructions on programing freqs. and a trunked system?

It seems to me in the Uniden manual all the info. is there but in order to do "A and B" you have to do "C, D and E" first. Hunt for those instructions, read and understand it then go back and do "A and B".

Can someone help? Or should I just forget about buying this scanner?

Thanks for any and all assistance.

I don't know if this will help, but you can take a look at it:

Also, look in the data base here for you state, town, county, system or frequencies to see if what you want to listen to is analog or digiital, if digital you should go with the bcd996t or a radio shack or gre digital scanner. If they are encrypted no scanner will receive them.
