Newbie question: is this forum for finding direction/location of transmitting radios?

New to the hobby, found some stores locally that are not listed in the bay area (century plaza Pittsburg, and streets of brentwood in brentwood)

Got a ton of traffic on 467.900 at both locations. All with 3-4 dcs/ctscc/tpl/dpl etc tones.

Anyways I love hearing local store chatter and wanted to pinpoint the stores to help add to the registry.

Correct me if I'm in the wrong place for that?

This thread is more for using direction finding equipment to locate interference, not for locating new frequencies to monitor. Your post should really be moved to the thread for your state/area and check with local users. That said, there is a large RR Wiki with store frequencies. Often times they use unlicensed radios (MURS or FRS) and your best bet to identify them is using close call on your scanner.

PLEASE do not start a new thread, just click on the REPORT button in the lower left corner of your post and ask them to move it to your state thread. People across the country can't really help you locate the source of local unlicensed frequencies.

Care to post the specific tones? Quite a few have been compiled in the wiki below though it isn't by any means an all-inclusive list
