Newbie Question on Win97 Functionality

I am just getting back into scanning after a ten year absence. I live in the NYC area and will mostl ikely get a Pro-97. I have a few questions regarding inputting freq's via software:

When I download freq's from the premium DB here, do I just check a box for the items it want to download?

If someone else has a list of freq's, can they just e-mail that to me and then I can upload it? Is it just a csv or xml file?

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but I guess they can wait until I get the Pro-97 this weekend.

Yes, you can just check the boxes for the frequencies you want to download. You might want to check in the New York State forum here or in Yahoo Groups PRO-97 forum. I'm pretty sure someone will have a file for NYC. The file will have a .P97 extension.
