newbie question re: Par End Fedz

Guys, I'm was going to slope this wire off my roof, but instead, can the attacment point (to the coax feedline) be at the "lower part" of the slope? I might be able to get away with less coax, and there could be other benefits. On the other hand, would rain now drip down towards the electrical connections? Thanks!

The box, from what I recall, is quite well sealed, so that's not a concern. Waterproof the coax connector at the point it mounts to the box, ground it and you should be good to go. Putting the attachment point lower makes it easier to ground, and more likely it will work properly.
If it doesn't work well for you like that, remember - you're not transmitting, so it won't damage your receiver at all. 73s Mike
