Hello,

As a new scanner enthusiat, [and an old man] it's taking me a while to understand this hobby. My scanner is a Radio Shack Pro-96.

In your database under system talkgroups, Kansas freqs, for example, the first one listed is Kansas Capitol Police-Administrative. The headings are "DEC," "HEX," etc. How do I program those listings into my scanner? I guess I'm asking, how do I read the frequencies?

What you are seeing are talkgroups for trunking systems. After you program the frequencies into the scanner, you will enter the number under DEC column to listen to that particular service. Look in your manual about how to program trunking systems.
