Newbie seeking primer

Up to speed on PRO 96, recently purchased a PC cable. Now what? I've downloaded PRO 96 and WIN but not installed. Sooo... Where can I go to learn? I'm looking for a primer on which program to use and understand the basics of PC to PRO 96 ? By the by, would it help or hinder if I attached an additional ground wire to the discone.. It works great, just curious. First time thread user also. No idea what I'm doing, but having a real good time!

The antenna question - don't attach a separate ground to the discone; However there is a need to ground the mast, if you have a tower...this subject has been covered ad nauseum in our antennas forum, which is where I'd suggest this question be placed. Much has to do with your own electrical code as well
