Hello all,

Thanks for looking and comments/suggestions are welcome.

I realize that this isn't a very sterile setup, what with all the wires everywhere, and I'll be cleaning it up as I have the chance. Go easy on me...I'm just getting started, (with a lot of help from some local folks I might add). I promise there is a scanner in there if you look close enough!

Suggestions & thoughts???

Great start. As mentioned before, if it works for you, that's all that matters. I'm sure (like most of us on this site) it'll start off with one scanner and end with a wife telling you to "clean up all that crap!" Enjoy!

Thanks for the nice comments.

As for what's on the monitors when I took the pic:

Laptop monitor is RadioReference.com

Left monitor is a weather link I found on RR that I like,
http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php and the desktop interface for Win500.

Right monitor is cable...I was watching the Military Channel at the time.

I snagged some Hi Def TV's that I can double as monitors.

That will most definitely happen. I went from one radio to eight radios in the span of about 6 months and turned our computer into my radio room.

When asked why I needed so many radios I told her scanners are like crayons; you can never have too many. :D

Now, getting back on topic, that's a nice set-up.

Clean set ups are nice to look at but I think messy ones are more user friendly at times. Take your time and be open to changing things around A BUNCH of times before it looks and works right for you! Good luck with it!

Looks Great!

Not bad for a "1st attempt", better than my "upteenth attempt"! What stand are you using for the PSR-500?

Thanks!

I saw a post somewhere on RR where someone had taken a cheapo bookend and bent it slightly. That's what I'm using right now. I've also seen some folks use coated wire plate holders for the same purpose and they look pretty stable too.
