Greetings All...

I have finally gotten an extra radio that I am getting set up with a discriminator Output put in. It is a BC760Xlt.

Since I am going to be new to this...is there anything else I need besides the computer/program and discriminator tapped radio? I am seeing reference to things online about data slicer's and such. I am not sure if i need that or not.

Any other tips would be great, I should get the radio this week.

You may want to insert some resistance between the BC760XLT and your computer's line or microphone input. I use a 50 k ohm variable resistor. This will give you control over the incoming signal level and provide some isolation between the radio's discriminator circuitry and your computer.

Thank you "UniTrunker". So then I don't need a data slicer or anything. I imagine I need an attenuating cable to go from the computer soundcard to the radio, right?

You'd have no control over how much attenuation was inserted by the cable. If you have one, give it a shot. If not, use a straight through patch cable and add wiring for a 47k or 50k potentiometer.
