Does any one have any frequency info for poliice and fire in Newfoundland

Probably low amount of hobbyists and economics.
It would be great if someone joined the group as the NFLD database
is empty.
I looked up Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, but came up blank.

Ya, know doubt they have no money there thanks to the federal government. I have a friend in cornerbrook and i think i will send my bc245 down there lock it on search mode. Sometimes I take a load or a container to or from Halifax but not newfoundland, but i think it is probably vhf rptr. 155.xxx or something like that.

I would seem that they are trunked, the tmr is the nova scotia system

The RNC uses a AEGIS DIGITAL system. Which unfortunately means you cannot listen to it with your radio scanner. I am not sure if it is in the clear, because the radio's themselves cost around 2000$. Not worth it to me.

As for the Fire Departments. They use Motorola Type II radio's.

Search the frequencies on the Government Of Canada's database.

Hey Rob

Thanks for the info, I believe that the Cape Breton PS are also uaing the same system, I was searching for control channels in the glace bay area and found a few, but no voice channels just digital noise.

I'm waiting for a list of them from a third party who's Relative on the Rock runs scanners. think they are in the St. Johns area.

That would be great, submit the info to the database.
We need NFLD info , both conventional and trunk are blank.
