OK so that doesn’t mean they’re going out there to work on RADIOS I know a few months ago they were doing radio test in the Newington area

They could be used for a system failure but it would not be for routine work. Besides, if they are only presenting to the town council, it is a way to go before they are talking on new radios.
By then, the State dispatcher training and emergency backup facility will be up and running and they could work out of Meriden if needed. One of the benefits of all this new technology is the ability to dispatch from alternate locations with only a network connection (and some smart folks to get it up and running)

I heard mcv 4 Going to Newington for maintenance 36 hours what does that mean is that for RADIOS

it was vehicle maintenance ... has nothing to do with radios for newington

MCV-3 (region 3 mobiles comms vehicle) is stationed in Farmington
MCV-4 (region 4 mobile comms vehicle) is stationed in East Lyme.
